COSCON event
So we are registered to run again at COSCON this march.
We will be running on Saturday March 24th, and Sunday March 25th.
We will start at noon each day, and run until whenever.
I understand that people will want to leave to play vampire, so we will probably end any plot or important things by 6-7ish, but we will be willing to continue to run for roleplay and meetings as long as people want.
We have a seperate location in the hotel from the vampire game, so we can run at the same time, but we don't want to compete with them too much, which is why we will end plot running when we will. I know people want to play both afterall.
Please pre-register for the game. It help us all out in the end.

Re: COSCON event
The website is http://www.circleofswords.com/main/page.php?6
A 3 day weekend pass is $28.
The Hotel is the Days Inn in Butler Pa. Regular rooms run about $80 a night. You can get two couples in a room comfortably and cram more to help reduce costs at your own discretion.
Reserving rooms is a good idea.
On a personal note, I'm STing for Vampire (so is Adam). I'll probably show up for Werewolf til about 2 or so on Saturday so I can check in and do a little RPing, but after that I'll be heading over to ST Vampire, but then i'll be there all day Sunday.
Bring your friends, get drunk with a LOT of fun people and have a hell of a time.

Re: COSCON event
Looks like the WarHorn site has been updated.
Once people fill out the registration on the COS website http://www.circleofswords.com/main/page.php?6
You can pay for the event with PayPal. pre-regging is cheaper then paying at the event. Once both of those things are done you can go to the WarHorn site http://www.warhorn.net/coscon24/ and sign up for the event.
Remeber, signing up shows the people who plan the Circle of Swords Cons how interested people are in this game and makes it MUCH easier to get enough space for future events.
Jacob, is there a cost for the game?

Re: COSCON event
Every person running can decide.
COS Vamp is usually $6 for 3x 4 hour slots. (Friday night 8-12, Saturday 1-5, 8-12 Usually using that break for food and what not)
Its broken into 4 hour slots, but longer games can just continue through.
Just food for thought. It's up to you though.

Re: COSCON event
Does the Con expect me to charge? Does it expect money from me? Where does the money go that I charge?

Re: COSCON event
The COSBucks you get 'paid' are turned in for cash.
Its money for GMs. Most provide characters/materials etc. Helps cover costs and rewards GMs for running. The money goes to you as the guy running it.
COSVamp takes it in to cover costs of printing sheets and our website.
They don't expect you to charge anything. It's just incentives.

Re: COSCON event
Meh fuck it.
I won't charge anything, though if people want to donate, I won't say no.
I'd prefer to keep it as easy as possible for people to play.
I took some of those Cosbucks last year cuz people just shoved them into my hands.
I think I threw them out though lol.

Re: COSCON event
ok so I am signing up on the website now. What are these things they want to sell me (questpacks, 6 for 30$) ? Does our larp use them or is that another larp and I am just a blind old fool and need to put my glasses on.
LINKIE to 'quest pack' : http://circleofswords.com/main/e107_plugins/easyshop/easyshop.php?prod.42
If someone has a 'real' sch of the events (since we are not listed) would be great.
((PS: thinks of things to bribe the ST with that he might want.....))

Re: COSCON event
The Quest packs are for the other LARP Circle of Swords runs called Quest. At the Cons and around christmas you can buy additional XP for your character to help fund the club.
Rage Across Three Rivers is meant to run from 2 til whenever Saturday, and 2 til they kick us out sunday. Or at least that's what I heard last.

I thought it was noon? LOL
and I would only be going for our larp. so the correct start time might be important to know.
Any suggestions on bribery? LOL

As I said, last I had heard. If you found this then why ask?
As for bribery, Chinchillas. The ST staff all love chinchillas.
